Boynton Yards brand Identity

Editorial Design, Print, Typography, Art Direction

A new identity system for a neighborhood in Boston relies on a connecting line: sometimes a simple arc bridging words, sometimes creating a bouncing rhythm for headlines, or a single line connecting horizontal spans.

Revelation and Connection

The overall approach to the Boynton Yards identity is to use it as a conceptual tool to knit back together this site with its surrounding communities. The brand concept and “why” is simply connection; using invented graphic forms that don’t rely on a history that is largely absent from our site. It reveals the neighborhood that always hoped to exist here.
