I partnered with the internal Wequassett team to transform their visual language into a holistic digital design system. We took a mobile-first approach, anchoring the work in a comprehensive overhaul of navigation, typography, curated photography, motion, and web accessibility.
The component-based design system provides a foundation that can continue to scale across the entire website and every touchpoint.
On the hero sections, a large, oversized image is introduced that grabs the user’s attention as soon as they land on a page. Immersive video helps draw users in as soon as they arrive on the site’s homepage, and makes the experience feel more crafted.
I always aim for a compelling experience on all screen sizes—but, I prioritized the design system to be stunning and seamless across mobile devices. This ensured that the experience was extremely mobile friendly as much of the consumer base would be engaging with the Wequassett brand and content from their phones.
Typography
I curated typefaces that communicate Wequassett’s premium personality while retaining its approachable and aspirational character. Together, the typographic elements create a sense of elegance, class, and prestige.

At Wequassett, we don’t create transactions, we cultivate relationships that lead to a lifetime of customer stays and loyalty.
The soft, ocean breeze kisses your cheek as you unwind in your waterfront cottage or luxury suite. Wander through our lavish landscaping towards the sound of crashing waves to discover the cerulean waters of Cape Cod’s National Seashore. Enchantment continues when you charter a boat to nearby historic villages and watch the sun slowly fall over pebbled beaches.
The experiences page shows Wequassett’s core audience all that the resort and Cape Cod region have to offer just for them. With the new experiences page design, Wequassett is able to sell potential guests with attractive packages including tickets, tours, and activities. By using high-quality images and booking directly in the page, the experiences page captures what makes Wequassett’s property unique and attractive to potential guests.
The design of Wequassett’s wedding pages leverages engaging photography, attracts users with inspirational content, and communicates the numerous ways Wequassett is prepared to work with brides and grooms as a knowledgeable resource. Building a custom wedding planner tool makes users to feel like their wishes are being heard and personalized by the Wequasset wedding team while providing the Wequassett wedding team with the necessary information to follow up effectively.
With competition for top talent reaching new heights, the design and branding of the career site allows for a more personal connection with all the candidates. Top candidates crave information and want to know about a company and culture so they can make an informed decision. Wequassett’s new Career Site is the best place to control this flow of information and sell them on the organization.
A well-designed blog is a staple for driving new users to Wequassett’s website who seek knowledge and answers to the questions they have. It’s full of expert insights and information that’s valuable to their audience, which ultimately helps drive sales to grow business. Design components such as a card-based design, utilizing a narrow grid-system, and high-quality featured photography helped optimize their blog and hit Wequassett’s marketing goals.
As one of the fastest-growing social media platforms worldwide, cross-promoting Wequassett’s Instagram content on their website helps establish brand awareness. It’s also a great way to supercharge user engagement and skyrocket customer conversions.
